The questions serious clients ask before they call. If yours isn't here, ask it directly — every inquiry is held in confidence.

Is The Bank of Arts a bank?

No. "The Bank of Arts" is a registered trademark used under license by Bo Arts LLC, an independent strategic-consulting firm. We are not a bank, trust company, or depository institution; we do not accept deposits, hold client funds, or provide banking services. The word "bank" in the name speaks to the firm's discipline and discretion — not to a banking charter or license.

What is The Bank of Arts, then?

An independent financial and strategic advisory practice for the art economy. We advise galleries and dealers, collectors and families, cultural enterprises, and the capital partners who back them — on transactions, capital, and long-term strategy.

THE BANK OF ARTS® is a registered trademark used under license by Bo Arts LLC.

Do you sell products or deal in art?

No. We hold no inventory, place no proprietary products, and do not buy or sell art for our own account. That independence is deliberate: it means our counsel has nothing to gain from any particular outcome except the one that serves you.

Do you lend against art?

No — we do not lend. On art-secured lending matters, our role is to advise the owner independently: pressure-testing whether borrowing is the right tool, analyzing structure, custody, valuation risk, and exit, and arranging introductions to lenders where appropriate.

How are you compensated?

Engagement terms are set out in a written agreement before any work begins, scoped to the mandate. We have no proprietary products and earn nothing from steering you toward a particular transaction or counterparty.

Are you a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer?

Where a particular matter calls for regulated investment, securities, or brokerage services, those services are provided only by appropriately registered or licensed persons under separate written agreements and applicable disclosures. We identify the capacity in which we are acting before any such engagement begins. Nothing on this website should be read as an assertion that Bo Arts LLC itself holds any particular registration or license.

How does confidentiality work?

Discretion is the default, from the first conversation onward. We treat client and prospective-client information as confidential. We do ask that you avoid sending sensitive or privileged material through unsecured channels — including web forms and unencrypted email — until a secure method has been established.

Is there a minimum engagement size?

No fixed minimum. We accept mandates where we can add real value and decline them where we cannot. The honest answer to "is this too small?" or "is this too unusual?" is a short conversation.

What happens after I reach out?

You'll hear back, typically within two business days, to arrange a confidential conversation about your objectives. There is no obligation at any point, and no engagement exists until a written agreement defines its scope and terms.
